Community Service

The Perfect Blend!

I want to take a moment to give a very special shout out to my sister Queen Brini Bourque. Teens for Jeans is her platform she signed on through DoSomething.org. I stumbled across Brini’s cause through my own involvement with After8toEducate. I just KNEW the two community service projects were perfect for one another.

THANK YOU BRINI for allowing me to partner up with you for this amazing platform.

Bringing it all together!

I was able to successfully collect more than 100 donated jeans through my book club #QueensDoRead and deliver them to a local shelter in Dallas, TX.

Paying it Forward

Being involved with pageantry includes a heavy focus on community service. Throughout the past few years, I have amassed quite a list of charitable causes that I am involved in one capacity or another. Please look them over and let me know if you wish to also get involved and pay it forward.

Today, I enjoyed helping out homeless teens with my #theloveheALSmovement and  #QueensDoRead members. We partnered up to deliver a much-needed iron, ironing board, clothing, and African American hair products to After8toEducate. It was a momentous occasion for all of us being involved and helping others.

I intend to continue this journey of community outreach and am happy to share my own experiences and satisfaction with anybody interested in getting involved. Follow my blog, my charity pages updates, or just send a note by commenting. If you wish to embark on the path of outreach and activism, I would be interested to guide you as Brini did for me.
